I draw

…whenever I can. Waiting in a carpark, at a cafe, at home when visitors(friends of course!) arrive, in the peace of the garden, when my Mum sits talking to me.

I like being close to what I am drawing so that I can touch it, if that’s possible.

I find it a peaceful process where I forget everything else.

My current preffered way of drawing is blind drawing whereby my eyes remain fixed on my subject with my hand guided by what I see. When finished, I look at what I have drawn. While blind drawing I am totally immersed in what I am looking at and am not trying to capture a likeness but rather a livingness.
